Book Sources

1.) Committee on the Judiciary. (2011). USA Patriot Act: Dispelling the myths. Washington: U.S.    G.P.O. ebook. http://purl.fdlp.gov/GPO/gpo9632 .

This book will be helpful to my research on the US Patriot Act because it will further our knowledge of what was discussed be Congress when deciding if the US Patriot was a good idea to continue on for years to come.  In this book it goes through sessions and hearings before the House of Representatives, and provides government letters from the representatives and from other committee members of how the feel about the Act.

2.) Ewing, A. (2002). The USA Patriot Act. Nova Science Pub Inc.

This book explores the boundaries of the US Patriot Act and touches on the rights of authority officials under the Act to monitor e-mail traffic, confiscate property, and holding records from our financial institutions. This book will be a great source to this blog because it then goes through the safe-guards for e-mail monitoring and how the Act is mostly concerned for the well-being of our financial institutions. This is a very controversial topic right now regarding the Act so it will add good information to my blog.

3.) Scheppler,B. (2005). The Usa Patriot Act: Antiterror Legislation in response to 9/11. Rosen Pub Inc

This is a slim book that gives a brief history of the US Patriot Act.  It is a very simple read  and provides great information for readers to understand thoughts and ideas of the Act more clearly.  It was a great start for me to do additional research on things that interested me.  This book will be helpful to my blog because it gives me an idea of how the Act used to be and how it has changed.
